We focus on helping clients build lasting, positive habits that align with their goals, using evidence-based practices and a client-centered approach.

What is a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Sleep, Stress Management and Recovery Coach?

  • Improving Sleep: Offering practical tips to enhance sleep quality and duration, manage sleep disruptions, and establish healthy bedtime routines.

  • Optimizing Recovery: Guiding recovery strategies for both physical and mental health, such as proper nutrition, rest, and self-care practices, to help the body recover and perform at its best.
What is a Girls Gone Strong Women’s Coaching Specialist?

A Girls Gone Strong Women’s Coaching Specialist is a coach who has completed a certification program offered by Girls Gone Strong, an organization dedicated to empowering women through evidence-based fitness, nutrition, and wellness education. This certification specifically focuses on coaching women in a holistic, inclusive, and supportive way, with an emphasis on strength training, body positivity, and addressing the unique needs of women throughout different life stages.

What’s the difference between a nutrition coach and a dietitian?

While both nutrition coaches and dietitians offer guidance on food and health, dietitians are trained to manage medical nutrition therapy for specific conditions and can provide medical advice and treatment. Nutrition coaches, on the other hand, help with behavior changes, healthy habits, and non-medical guidance to optimize nutrition and wellness.

What’s the difference between a nutrition coach and a personal trainer?

A nutrition coach focuses on helping you improve your eating habits, create a sustainable relationship with food, and achieve your health and wellness goals through personalized nutrition guidance. We work with you to develop healthy eating patterns, address specific dietary needs, and create a plan that supports your overall well-being. Nutrition coaching often includes guidance on meal planning, intuitive eating, managing emotional eating, and optimizing nutrition for performance or health conditions.

A personal trainer, on the other hand, specializes in designing and leading exercise programs tailored to your fitness goals, whether that’s building strength, improving cardiovascular health, increasing flexibility, or enhancing overall physical fitness. They provide instruction, motivation, and support during physical workouts, ensuring you’re using proper techniques to avoid injury and achieve your fitness goals.

While a nutrition coach focuses on the “what” and “why” of your eating habits, a personal trainer focuses on the “how” of your physical activity. Together, the two can complement each other to help you achieve a balanced approach to health, with fitness and nutrition working in tandem to support your overall goals.

What’s the difference between a Girls Gone Strong Women’s Coaching Specialist and a personal trainer?

A Girls Gone Strong Women’s Coaching Specialist takes a holistic approach to women’s health and wellness. This includes not only fitness programming but also guidance on nutrition, stress management, recovery, and overall well-being. GGS coaches are trained to create fitness programs that are specifically tailored to a woman’s needs, and they focus on supporting long-term health through sustainable habits. They can guide clients through strength training, mobility, and fitness while addressing unique life stage needs (like pregnancy, postpartum recovery, or menopause).

In contrast, a personal trainer focuses primarily on exercise prescription, fitness assessments, and improving physical performance. While they can create detailed workout plans to increase strength and endurance, they typically do not provide support in areas like nutrition, stress management, or recovery. If your goal is a more comprehensive approach to health, including support with lifestyle habits, a GGS coach may be a better fit. However, if your primary goal is to have detailed fitness programming or assessments, a personal trainer would be the ideal choice.

Ultimately, GGS Women’s Coaching Specialists provide a broader focus, incorporating fitness within the context of overall health and life goals, while personal trainers are primarily focused on exercise and performance goals.

Coaching Focus

Is coaching only for weight loss?

No, coaching is not just about weight loss. Some clients are focused on maintaining or even gaining weight in a healthy, sustainable way. For others, weight isn’t a priority at all. Coaching at Nyxology Studio LLC is about supporting you in reaching your personal health and wellness goals, whether that means improving energy, managing stress, enhancing sleep, optimizing recovery, or addressing specific health concerns. We focus on building habits that promote overall well-being, not just a number on the scale.

Do I need to follow a specific diet or meal plan?

No, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all diets. Instead, we focus on building sustainable habits and understanding the why behind your food choices. While we may suggest specific strategies, the goal is to empower you to make informed decisions and feel confident in your food choices, without restrictive diets.

Will I have to be weighed, photographed, or measured?

At Nyxology Studio LLC, we believe that true progress isn’t defined by numbers on a scale or measurements. Your wellness journey is unique, and the way we track progress depends on your individual goals and needs. While we don’t focus on weight, measurements, or appearance, we may occasionally use these tools as part of a holistic approach to tracking progress—if they’re helpful and align with your specific goals.

For some clients, tracking physical measurements or weight can be a useful way to assess progress, especially for health-related goals like improving energy, managing chronic conditions, or optimizing nutrition. However, for many individuals, how you feel—your energy, mental clarity, relationship with food, and overall well-being—are far more important indicators of success.

Together, we’ll determine what feels right for you, focusing on the factors that matter most to your health and happiness. Ultimately, our goal is to help you feel your best, both physically and emotionally, rather than fixating on external measures of appearance.

Do I need to track my food intake?

Food tracking is optional but can be a helpful tool for some clients, especially in the short term, to increase awareness of eating habits and identify areas for improvement. Whether or not tracking will be beneficial will be discussed between you and your coach, and we’ll decide together what to track—whether it’s portion sizes, feelings around food, or symptoms. In rare cases, we may ask clients to track macros or weigh food, but typically, we use hand portions or simple methods like food journaling or taking pictures. Tracking can be done via the Healthie app or other method of your choice. Our goal is to help you become aware of what you’re eating and how you feel, without making it a stressful or obsessive process.

Can you help with emotional eating or food-related stress?*

Yes, emotional eating is a common challenge, and we can help you build a healthier relationship with food. We focus on mindset shifts, mindful eating practices, and strategies for managing stress to address emotional eating and food-related anxiety.

*Treatment of eating disorders is outside the scope of practice for a health, wellness, or nutrition coach. If you or someone you know is struggling with an eating disorder, please consult a physician, mental health professional, or registered dietitian.

Can you help with specific dietary needs or restrictions (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies)?

Yes! We provide nutrition coaching that accommodates a wide range of dietary preferences, restrictions, and health conditions. Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, managing food allergies, or have specific health concerns, we’ll work with you to create a plan that fits your needs.

Logistics

How long do I need to work with a coach?

The duration of coaching varies depending on your goals. Some clients work with a coach for a few months to kick-start their transformation, while others choose longer-term coaching to build lasting habits and maintain progress. We’ll set milestones and review your progress regularly to determine the right timeline.

Do you offer virtual or online coaching?

Yes, we offer remote coaching through video, phone calls, emails, and messaging. This means you can receive personalized support no matter where you are, and we can tailor our approach to suit your lifestyle and schedule.

What happens if I miss an appointment?

If you’re subscribed to a package and need to miss an appointment, we kindly ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule. Life can get busy, and we understand that sometimes plans change!

If you miss the appointment without giving 24 hours’ notice, your session will be considered used. Unfortunately, we can’t offer a refund or rollover for missed sessions, as we reserve that time specifically for you. You can read the details of our ATTENDANCE, PRICING, AND REFUND POLICY for more information.

However, if something unexpected comes up, please reach out—we’ll do our best to work with you and make sure you stay on track with your goals. We’re here to support you and want to help you make the most out of your coaching experience!

How are family coaching sessions billed?

Family coaching sessions are scheduled, documented, and billed under a single person, similar to couples or family therapy. This means that if an individual is seeking coaching and would occasionally like to include family members, the session will be billed to that individual. If the focus is on family-specific goals and actions, the session is still billed under one person, but any coaching plan would address the collective needs of the family, not individualized plans for each member.

If multiple family members need personalized coaching plans, separate packages or individual sessions would need to be purchased. In other words, coaching is either for the individual + family or solely for the family as a unit—it’s not a shared package across different family members with different goals.

Can my child get coaching?

Yes, coaching is available for minors under the guidance of their parent or guardian. We take a holistic approach to health and wellness, focusing on areas like nutrition, stress management, sleep, healthy habit formation, and overall well-being.

For minors, active parental or guardian involvement is essential to ensure the success of the coaching process. The parent/guardian must provide consent and remain involved throughout the process. Parents/guardians will be encouraged to communicate regularly with the coach and review progress updates. Please note that coaching is intended to support wellness and is not a substitute for medical advice or treatment.

Additionally, we do not take or track body measurements, weight, or photographs as part of the coaching process, focusing instead on promoting healthy habits and a positive relationship with food and body. Parents/guardians are welcome to track measurements privately if they choose, but this will not be a part of the coaching at Nyxology Studio LLC.

Getting Started

What happens if I have a setback or fall off track?

First, it’s important to remember that there is no failure, only feedback. Everyone experiences setbacks or challenges along the way—it’s completely normal. What matters most is how you respond to those moments. Instead of seeing a setback as a failure, use it as an opportunity to learn and adjust your approach. We’ll work together to identify what caused the shift and how you can make small, sustainable changes moving forward. Progress isn’t linear, and every step, whether forward or backward, is part of your growth process. We’re here to support you through it all, helping you get back on track with a plan that feels manageable and motivating.

I’m very busy. What if I don’t have time?

We understand that life can get hectic, and finding time for yourself can feel challenging. The good news is, our coaching is designed to fit into your busy schedule. We’ll work together to create a realistic plan that aligns with your lifestyle, whether you’re a busy professional, parent, or someone with a packed calendar.

We focus on small, sustainable changes that don’t require hours of preparation or major sacrifices. Whether it’s meal prepping, making mindful choices on the go, or using quick, effective strategies, we’ll help you seamlessly integrate healthier habits into your daily routine.

With virtual coaching and flexible scheduling, we make it easy to connect at a time that works for you—helping you stay on track without adding stress.

I’m interested in coaching, but how do I know if it’s the right time?

It’s natural to wonder if now is the right time to start coaching—life can feel overwhelming, and change often seems daunting. The truth is, there’s never a perfect time, but if you’re ready to take small, manageable steps toward your goals, now could be the perfect time.

Whether you’re seeking support for nutrition, stress management, sleep, recovery, or building healthier habits, our coaching approach takes into account all aspects of your well-being. If you’re feeling stressed, low on energy, or just want to feel more in control of your health, it’s a great time to start.

We’ll collaborate to identify what matters most to you, set realistic goals, and move forward at a pace that works for you. You don’t have to wait for the “perfect moment”—the key is that you’re ready to invest in your health and well-being.

What if I’m not ready to commit?

It’s completely normal to feel unsure about making a commitment. Taking the first step can feel overwhelming, and we’re here to support you at your own pace.

If you’re not ready to dive in, we can start with a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your goals and get a feel for our approach. If you feel comfortable moving forward, we’ll schedule a 90-minute kickoff session, which is mandatory for all new clients before purchasing a package or individual sessions. This session allows us to dive deeper into your goals and start creating a plan that’s tailored to you.

From there, you can choose to move forward with a 4-week package that automatically renews each month (with the option to cancel at any time), or you can opt for individual à la carte sessions if that feels like a better fit.

There’s no pressure to commit until you’re ready. Even small steps can lead to big changes, and we’re here to help you make progress at a pace that feels right for you.

How long before I see results?

The timeline for seeing results varies from person to person, depending on your goals, current habits, and the level of commitment you put into the process. Some clients begin noticing small changes, such as increased energy or improved digestion, within a few weeks. For more long-term goals like weight loss, muscle gain, or significant habit shifts, it may take several months of consistent effort.

It’s important to remember that sustainable results come from gradual, manageable changes rather than quick fixes. The key is progress, not perfection, and we’ll work together to ensure you’re making positive, lasting changes at a pace that feels right for you. Patience and consistency are essential, and we’ll be with you every step of the way to track progress, adjust strategies, and celebrate your wins—big and small!

How do I get started?

To get started, simply schedule a free consultation. In this session, we’ll discuss your goals, answer any questions you have, and determine if we’re a good fit for each other. If we decide to move forward, the next step is a Kickoff Session, where we’ll dive deeper into your goals, review your intake questionnaire, and create a personalized roadmap. You’ll leave with a clear, actionable item to start working on right away.

After the Kickoff Session, you can choose to continue with either a package (renewed every 4 weeks, cancellable at any time) or individual à la carte sessions, based on what works best for you.
